(outdoor show)

The Gravenstein Mandolin Ensemble began in 2006 in Sebastopol, the Sonoma County town known for its Gravenstein apples. Directed by Gus Garelick, the GME’s eclectic repertoire reflects music from Argentina to Russia, Italy to Ireland, the Classical Era to Ragtime and beyond. The ensemble includes the entire mandolin family: mandolins, mandolas, and mandocellos, with the addition of guitar, bass, percussion, and other surprise guests. The members have performed for numerous audiences in Northern California, as well as San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, and, in 2018, the national convention of the Classical Mandolin Society of America, held in Santa Rosa. The band’s CD, ‘Sweet Harvest’, released in 2018, will be available at the concert.
